Classic Beef Vegetable Soup

Ingredients:

4 russet potatoes, large, peeled, and cubed.

3 carrots, large, peeled, and sliced.

1 onion, large.

4 cups of frozen green beans.

4 cups of frozen corn.

4 cups of tomato juice.

2 cups water.

½ pound of ground beef.

2 bay leaves

½ teaspoon of garlic powder.

2 bay leaves.

Instructions:

Step 1

First, combine the potatoes, carrots, onion, salt, and pepper in a large saucepan.

Step 2

Then, add 4 cups of water to the pan and bring it to a vigorous boil. Once the water reaches its boiling point, carefully cover the pan with a lid and proceed to reduce the heat to a gentle simmer.

Step 3

Allow the mixture to simmer gently for approximately 25 minutes, or until the vegetables have reached the desired level of tenderness. Once the vegetables are tender, incorporate the remaining ingredients into the pan.

Step 4

Ensure that all ingredients are well combined. Continue simmering the mixture for an additional 25 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Step 5

During the simmering process, remember to stir the soup occasionally to prevent any ingredients from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Step 6

Additionally, before serving the soup, make sure to remove the bay leaves, as they are not meant to be consumed. Discard the bay leaves, and then serve the delicious soup to enjoy.

And there you have it, a steaming pot of Classic Beef Vegetable Soup that's bursting with flavor and enough vegetables to make your mom proud! Just remember, if you happen to find any bay leaves trying to sneak their way into your spoon, kindly escort them out of the bowl and into the compost bin. Now, gather your loved ones, grab a bowl, and enjoy this soup that's sure to warm your heart and tickle your taste buds. Bon appétit and may your soup be filled with laughter and joy!
