INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED:

700 grams.Of ground beef (you can use a mix of ground beef, pork, and veal if desired).

1 Cup.Of breadcrumbs (preferably fresh or panko).

1 medium onion, finely chopped.

2 cloves of garlic, minced.

2 eggs, lightly beaten.

½ Cup.Of milk.

2 Tbsp.Of Worcestershire sauce.

2 Tbsp.Of ketchup.

1 Tbsp.Of Dijon mustard.

1 Tbsp.Of fresh parsley, chopped.

1 Tsp.Of dried thyme.

1 Tsp.Of dried oregano.

1 Tsp.Of salt.

½ Tsp.Of black pepper.

PREPARATION:

1st Step

Prepare your oven by preheating it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease it or line it with parchment paper and set it aside.

2nd Step

Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, Dijon mustard, fresh parsley, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper together in a large mixing bowl.

3rd Step

Use either your hands or a spoon to thoroughly blend the ingredients until they form a cohesive whole. Be cautious not to overmix the meatloaf, since doing so might result in a thick texture.

4th Step

Place the meatloaf mixture into the loaf pan that has been previously prepared. Make sure the mixture is uniformly packed and that it fills the pan before shaping it into a loaf using your hands.

5th Step

Put the loaf pan into an oven that has been prepared and bake the meatloaf for approximately an hour, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. To determine if the meatloaf is cooked through, place a meat thermometer in the middle of the loaf. When it's ready, the thermometer should register 160 degrees Fahrenheit (71 degrees Celsius).

6th Step

You also have the option of lightly pressing the top of the meatloaf with your finger, a fork, or both. It ought to have a strong texture and gently bounce back into place.

7th Step

After the meatloaf has finished cooking, remove it from the oven and allow it to sit for approximately ten minutes in the loaf pan before serving. This enables the liquids to redistribute themselves and makes it much simpler to slice the meat.

8th Step

Transfer the meatloaf to a cutting board with caution, then slice it into thick pieces. Warm the meatloaf that you created yourself and serve it with the sides that you like the most, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a crisp salad.

OPTIONAL VARIATIONS AND TIPS:

You can customize your meatloaf by adding other ingredients like diced bell peppers, shredded cheese, or cooked bacon to the mixture.

For a tangy glaze, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and a splash of vinegar, then spread it over the meatloaf before baking.

Leftover meatloaf makes great sandwiches the next day. Simply layer thick slices of meatloaf between bread or buns with some mayo, lettuce, and tomato.
